Sustainability in Electrical Manufacturing

A great variety of raw materials, metals, plastics, chemicals, and also water is used in the manufacturing of electrical devices, machines, motors, and everyday electronics. Most of the materials and components used to create electrical products are hidden from view on the outside.

Many of these materials are not easily sourced or freely available, but even the smallest device or product needs it to function properly.

Materials used in Electrical Manufacturing

Copper, lithium, silver, nickel, aluminum, tin and gold are the more known metals used in the manufacturing of electronics and electrical devices.  However, these are all materials that need to be mined and are not found everywhere. Mining activities use gallons of water per second while operational.

Materials also include plastics, microchips that rely on silicon, and rare earth metals.  Batteries will need lithium.  Specialized glass and ceramics are used for some parts and screens.  Electrical manufacturing and the production of electronics also involve the use of different chemicals.

Various gases and solvents are used to control the quality of products.  Impurities are stripped away where needed, components are cleaned, and materials degreased.  Purchasing chemical supplies is an ongoing process in manufacturing.  Manufacturers tend to locate their operations where materials and producers are situated.

This wide array of needed components for even the simplest of electric devices makes the electrical industry prone to suffer from fluctuating prices in commodity markets.

Sustainability of Electrical Manufacturing Materials

Even though electrical manufacturing changed daily living for households, efficiency in the workplace, better medical capabilities, and many more, it still uses outdated supply chains.

Manufacturing processes still rely on dangerous mining practices, hazardous chemicals, outmoded energy sources, and the consumption of diminishing resources.  Most of these processes are also not environmentally friendly.

But, although many things haven’t changed in a big way for this industry, they are already implementing measures to minimize the impact on the environment.

Balancing Industry Growth with Resources

The demand for electrical devices and electronics is an ever-growing market.  The materials needed for many of the manufacturing processes are dwindling, and not sustainable.  Therefore, research into more accessible resources that are also environmentally friendly is ongoing.

Recycling components and materials will also ensure less hazardous emissions into the environment.  Reusing rather than landing in landfills or lying around in drawers and boxes.

Expos, Fairs, Conferences, and Electrical Manufacturing Events are excellent opportunities to share research and knowledge with others in the industry. Also, sharing with other industries can go a long way towards renewing electrical manufacturing processes.

Electronics Trade Shows not to Miss

Almost anything can be found on the internet in today’s internet-dominated world.  But An email or even a website display cannot replace the impact of personally seeing the new products displayed and discussing it with the traders and vendors.

Trade Shows and Events are places to ask questions, get answers, gain knowledge, and build relationships.  Electronic manufacturers use these events to display new products.  They also discuss new methods and better processes with others in their trade, and also with people in other industries.

There are many different electronics trade shows all over the world.  Trade shows can specialize in a certain category, or they can have it all.  Listed below are a few of the best shows not to miss out on.

Electronics Shows not to Miss

AmCon is “AN ADVANCED DESIGN & MANUFACTURING EXPO” which has been doing business since the year 1987.  The show offers solutions for production and design problems in the manufacturing of electronics.  On display will be 3D printing, robotics, prototyping, new designs in electronics, and much more.

MINExpo INTERNATIONAL is the largest mining expo event in the world.  This expo covers all that happens in the entire mining industry.  Displays will include new, safer, mining methods, exploration of new fields, and environmental improvement processes.

The latest innovations, technologies, services, and latest cutting-edge electronic equipment will be discussed, knowledge shared, and questions answered.

ADM Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo is a trade show which offers a rare diversity through including several markets on one floor.  Exhibitions are held yearly in different locations.  Each event will include keynote speakers, conferences, classes in the latest designing trends, and displays of the latest market technology and trends.

Electronic Trade Shows provide the place where everybody can experience the world of electrical, and electronics manufacturing firsthand.

Importance of Events, Expos, and Conferences

Events, Expos, and Conferences are excellent opportunities to get a glimpse of what any industry has to offer.  Electrical Manufacturing and coil winding are no different.

Conferences

Conferences are held for people in a certain industry to share their knowledge with others in that same environment.  New technologies and the ways in which it can change the industry are discussed.  Specialists in their field of expertise can hold workshops for persons attending the conference.

Solutions for problems are found through working together. A Conference is mostly held for persons from a specific company, or a certain area of an industry and is in a working context.

Expos and Other Events

Fairs and Expos concentrate on displaying what the industry is about and draws visitors from outside that industry too.  These events can also have discussions about the industry, the products, solutions to problems, and services that are on offer.  However, these events are not exclusive to persons in the industry, but also include people from outside.

Displaying all the different products, the materials used to manufacture each product, and discussing it with people means a whole lot of knowledge shared.  Having all the components for manufacturing on display and how they are used, will also bring an understanding of how the industry works to deliver the end product.

These events are also excellent opportunities to make new business contacts, network with colleagues, and get an idea of what other businesses and manufacturers have to offer.  It’s a good way to compare, find solutions, and share information.

Importance of Events

At these events, you’ll find the firsts of new products, the latest in technology innovations, and discussions on what is still to come.  Events can be very fruitful for visitors learning more about an industry and exhibitors getting the exposure needed for their industry.
